Hi, I'm Sara Lovelace, artist and owner of Sara Lovelace Arts.
I believe art has a special way of bringing people together and creating moments that are remembered long after the event is over. Whether I'm painting faces at a birthday party, community festival, school event, or family celebration, my goal is simple: create smiles and make every guest feel special.

There is something magical about watching a child's eyes light up when they see themselves transformed in the mirror. For a few wonderful moments, they're not just wearing paint—they're becoming a tiger, a mermaid, a dragon, or a superhero.
Face painting turns ordinary events into unforgettable experiences and creates memories families treasure long after the celebration ends.
Booking/Rescheduling/Cancellation Policies
A $25 deposit is needed to reserve the date. Your deposit will be applied as a credit towards the hourly rate. Your date will not be booked until the deposit is received.
A 72-hour rescheduling/cancellation notice required to change the date of the party. If changed without a 72-hour notice, the $25 deposit WILL NOT be refunded.
The remainder of the price for the party must be paid IN FULL 72 hours prior to the date of the event.
Set up for All Events
No set up fees apply. The Artist needs at least 30 minutes prior to the event and 30 minutes after the event for setup and take down of equipment
The Artist will provide all necessary equipment to set up, paint faces, and dispose of own trash.
The Artist needs a 5x5-8x8 area for indoor events and a 10x10 area for outdoor events.
Breaks
The Artist will have paid breaks of 5-10 minutes every 2 hours and must have access to a restroom at all times.
Overtime
Any time beyond the time booked will cost $35 per half hour increment. Only booked times are guaranteed. Additional time on the day of the event may not be available.
Travel & Parking Fees
Travel fees only apply when the event is more than 30 minutes from Coalinga, CA. Generally $25 per half hour increment of travel time to and from the event. Any or All parking fees must be paid to the artist at the same time when final payment is due.
Extreme Adverse Working Conditions
The Artist has the right to cease painting and leave without refunding any monies if there are extreme adverse working conditions and the client fails to remedy the situation after it has been brought to the client’s attention. Adverse conditions included but not limited to; destructive, violent, or extreme inappropriate behavior of a child, adult, or pet: any illegal activities: or otherwise dangerous conditions.
Statement:
*Only FDA cosmetic compliant water based paints and cosmetic grade glitter are used by the Artist. Although unlikely, the Artist cannot guarantee that a reaction will not occur. It is the adult’s/parent’s responsibility to notify me if they/their child has allergies, sensitive skin, or more specifically is allergic to COCONUT OIL or RED DYE. A sign will be posted on the Artist’s table at the time of the event to remind adults/parents of this. If this is a concern, please ask for a patch test on the hand at least 30 minutes in advance.
*For sanitary reasons, the Artist will not paint anyone who appears to be suffering from cold sores, open wounds, conjunctivitis, inflamed acne, head lice, or any condition that could possibly be contagious to others.
*All paints are washable with soap and warm water. As always, the Artist will use reasonable care, but is not responsible for damage to clothing or property. Should any of the face paint get on clothing, please soak it overnight in cold water before washing.
Under NO circumstance will the Artist supervise children
*The behavior and safety of children is always the responsibility of the Parent’s/Host’s.
*The Artist has the right to refuse to paint offensive material (e.g. “gang” related symbols, nudity, vulgar language). An alternative design will most certainly be offered.
*The contract goes into effect once the deposit is received to secure the date of your event and all dates and times agreed upon by both parties. Full final payment must be received 72 hours prior to the event. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
